The Engineering College of Aarhus
The Engineering College of Aarhus (IHA) www.iha.dk educates engineers with a practical and professional approach heading for a job in the industrial sector. IHA has close connections to the industry and many student projects and case stories are based on cooperation with industrial partners in the Danish Wind Industry Association.
IHA is situated in Aarhus in the centre of the wind power hub that covers a great part of the Danish wind turbine industry. IHA therefore has a declared strategy of providing relevant engineering educations that enable the students to shape their profile to match a profession in the wind power industry. The Talent Factory fits perfectly into the work IHA is already doing. The Mechanical Engineering Department and the Electronic Engineering Department at IHA are especially focused on the wind turbine area.
Among the relevant courses are Mechanical Design.
Summer School
In cooperation with the wind power industry in Denmark, the Engineering College of Aarhus offer a Summer School with focus on Wind Turbine Technology.
The purpose of the Summer School is to enable you to apply your engineering competences to Wind Turbine Technology problems, and to gain an insight into the functions of the turbines and the interaction between the different sub-components and their demand profiles.
You can read more about the summer school 2010 here.
